Use of magnesium sulfate (MgSO4) in asthma treatment is potentially very wide - from using it as a food supplement to inhaling it as a rescue drug.

The first results test results of magnesioum sulfate are very promising and it is hoped that MgSO4 will soon become one of the main asthma relievers used in hospitals. There are some doctors who promote the use of magnesium sulfate in asthma treatment as a food supplement. With it in your diet the decrease in number of asthma attacks will be undeniable, but it is by no means a "wonder pill".  Its use is somewhat limited because of its side effects and the fact that some people suffer from hyperreactiveness after being treated with MgO4.
